AUSTRALIAN Guided Trek Ower's to Kokoda
Date: 21 February 2012 - 28 February 2012
Australian guided trek commencing at Ower's Corner on the 21st of February and finishing in Kokoda on the 27th of February where you will be our guest at 'Orohaven Kokoda Retreat'. The following day, 28th of February you will be flown back to Port Moresby on board a DASH 8 - Trek : 843 - Guide Shane ThomasThis trek has been designed so that you can fly back in from Port Moresby to Australia in the afternoon the same day.
ALL ACCOMMODATION AND INTERNAL TRAVEL IS INCLUDED IN THIS PACKAGE. You will be met at the airport and driven out to Sogeri Lodge where you will spend the night prior to starting your trek the following day.

Kokoda Adventure Trek - Kokoda - Owers' Corner

Open PNG Guided trek. Due to many of the bridges washed away from Popondetta to Kokoda, the direction of this trek has been turned around. Trekkers will now be flown into Kokoda by charter and will commence their trek to Hoi Village the same day finishing on the 6th March when you walk off the track at Owers' Corner. After attending the Anzac Day service you will be driven out to Owers' Corner around midday to commence your trek and will finish in Kokoda on the 1st May where you will overnight as our guests at Orohaven Kokoda Retreat. Airlines PNG or
Air Nuigini. The earlier you book the less you will pay. You should also check the flight prices with each airline for travelling to Port Moresby and back to Australia as you may find that one airline is cheaper than the other. Airlines PNG is usually the cheaper of the two. Airlines of PNG run a joint share with Virgin and Air Niugini joint share with Qantas Airways.

KOKODA CHALLENGE RACE - Kokoda to Owers' Corner
Date: 25 August 2012 - 26 August 2012
The 2012 Kokoda Challenge Race will commence in Kokoda on the 25th August at 7am and will finish at Owers' Corner on the 26th August. Local competitors who reside in the Kokoda district will need to make their way to the Kokoda Hospital. International runners and competitors from outside of Kokoda will be accomodated at 'Orohaven Kokoda Retreat' our base in Kokoda on the night before the race. Trek 860Attention International Competitors: Anyone wishing to enter this race will have to arrive in PNG on the 23rd to overnight in Port Moresby. The next day 24th you will be flown over to the Oro Province and overnight in readiness for the commencement of the race on the 25th.

Fast Trek - Owers' Corner to Kokoda

This trek has been set up so that you commence at Owers' Corner on the 3rd November and finish in Kokoda on the 8th November where you will overnight at our base, Orohaven Kokoda Retreat. Date: 9 November 2012 - 11 November 2012
After your one night stay at Orohaven in Kokoda 8th November, you will be driven down to Poppondetta where you will visit the war memorial.
Following this you will be driven to Gona where you will be shown all the historical locations in the area. From Gona, you will board a boat and be transported to your first nights accommodation at Sanananda. Here you will be shown all the historical locations, including two museums.
The following day you will board a boat to Buna, where you will be shown all the historical sites in the area. You will then take a short walk along the beach back to Sanananda.
The following morning 11th November you will be transported to the Girua airstrip and board your flight back to Port Moresby and then your flight back to Australia.List of Trekkers

Date: 16 April 2013 - 25 April 2013
Australian led trek.It has been designed so that you commence your trek from Ower's Corner (Port Moresby) end and walk to Kokoda commencing on the 16th April allowing you to finish your trek on the 23rd April, 2013 where you will be accommodated at our base 'Orohaven Kokoda Retreat' as our guests. The following day 24th of April you will be flown to Port Moresby. You will overnight at Sogeri lodge on the 24th of April. The following day 25th April you will be collected from the Sogeri Lodge and driven to the Bomana War Cemetery for the dawn service. You will be accommodated at our base 'Orohaven Kokoda Retreat' as our guests. The following day 3rd of May you will be flown to Port Moresby for your flight back to Australia.
